Start With the Operating Environment

Do not assume every user needs the same compartment. Custom Lockers Need a Clear Security Plan

Specify Construction for Daily Abuse, Not Occasional Use

Door reinforcement, hinge design, frame rigidity, ventilation openings, weld quality, and finish adhesion all affect service life.
Metal lockers are a strong choice for high-use facilities because they provide impact resistance, fire-conscious material selection, and a long working life when correctly manufactured and maintained. For areas with wet clothing or equipment, ventilation is not optional. Plan Installation, Expansion, and Service Access
A locker bank is part of a facility layout. It needs to be safely positioned, leveled, and, where required, fixed to walls or floors. Buyers should confirm whether units will arrive assembled or need installation on site, as this affects access planning, labor, and delivery scheduling.
Think beyond the initial order. Can additional units be matched later in the same size, color, and lock format? Are spare keys, replacement doors, lock cylinders, and numbering components available? A locker system that can be expanded or repaired in sections protects the original investment better than a product that must be replaced as a complete run.
Procurement teams should also define acceptance criteria before production begins. Confirm external dimensions, internal clearances, door quantity, lock type, ventilation, color, labeling, and delivery condition in a written specification. A drawing or approved configuration prevents small assumptions from becoming costly changes after the units are manufactured.
